San Bernardino County Code (Title 3, Division 3, Chapter 4, Section 33.0410) requires food workers employed in San Bernardino County to possess a valid, unexpired Food Worker Certification Card. County Code defines food workers as waiters, waitresses, bartenders, buspersons, cooks, dishwashers, hosts, hostesses, managers, meat cutters, deli person, etc.
All food workers must obtain certification within fourteen (14) days of employment. Classes are available in English and Spanish. The card is valid for 3 years.
There are 2 ways in which to obtain certification:
1. View the course online. Print and fill out the worksheet and study it, then come to a testing site to take the test. Come to a DEHS office near you in San Bernardino, Ontario or Victorville to take the exam. DEHS office sites
